More On Google ‘Sketch-Up’

One of the features of Google’s 3-d drawing program that is quite useful is the ‘model warehouse’.  In it you can find loads, and I mean loads of stuff already modeled and all you have to do is download it.  Here’s a copy of Herod’s temple which you can manipulate as you wish- decorating, expanding, changing, etc. as your whim leads.

It is, I think, a very useful little tool.

However, not everything you download will be very useful.  Here I’ve gotten a copy of a little model of the crucifixion by a person who has Jesus on a cross that would not have been used (no such pretty crosses back then don’t ya know) and clothed (a complete misunderstanding as well of the method of crucifixion in the first century) and superimposed it on the model of Herod’s Temple (in the background).  Such are the things you can do…
