Will the 36th Biblical Studies Carnival be the Last?

I wonder aloud that very question because 1) the Carnival home page hasn’t been updated in a good while; and 2) there are no further Carnival’s announced; and 3) finally, there are no further Carnival hosts announced.  Have the Carnival’s seen their final months?  Will the end of 2008 be the end of the Carnival as we know it?

Does anyone know?

    Thanks for the excellent Carnival!

    No, your Carnival will not be the last. I have experienced a computer crash in the last couple weeks and will update the Carnival page shortly.

    I will be doing the January Carnival at Codex, while Judy Redman will be doing February 2009. After that I need some volunteers to fill out the next six month or so. Look for an announcement at my blog later today.

    well thanks for mentioning the excellence of the carnival (but I haven’t posted it yet). ;-) so i’m thinking you’re a prophet!

    i’m glad the tradition will continue. relieved actually, because i learn a lot from all of them.
