Jim, remind me, what was your opinion of this whole “Herod’s Tome” thing? I want to say that you though it was ridiculous, but, for the life of me, I cannot remember.
the ridiculous ‘tomb’ story was the ‘jesus family tomb’ idiocy. on the other hand, netzer’s work is stellar and first rate. i’ve not watched this particular special but netzer, the chief archaeologist of herodium, is first rate, top notch, and tremendously competent.
Hi Dr. Jim. I wanted to ask if you’d be willing to list some of the best documentaries on biblical archaeology that you’ve either watched or heard about. After seeing ‘The Bible’s Buried Secrets’ I’ve become more interested in watching some more. Are the ones from the “Mysteries of the Bible” series any good?

ken there are three that i wholeheartedly commend for your viewing-
the bible’s buried secrets (but you already knew that)
the bible unearthed (absolutely FANTASTIC- in fact, the best of the lot bar none)
and
though not, strictly speaking about archaeology, still it contains a lot-
