The punishment would fit the crime, for him, in his entrenched arrogance and utter disregard for the rule of law.
Rove’s action today prompted the House Judiciary subcommittee to rule that his reasons for skipping the appearance weren’t valid, setting up a possible contempt of Congress vote next week.
Contempt of Congress? Please, everyone has contempt for Congress what with their utter inability to do anything meaningful. If folk were arraigned for that, I’d be first in line. Rove’s actions aren’t just confined to contempt of Congress but demonstrate his loathing for Americans and his sense of entitlement, privilege, and disregard for constitutional fidelity. That’s why Guantanamo is the place for him. It embodies that same disposition.

Just a question, but what evidences Rove’s “loathing for Americans and his sense of entitlement, privilege, and disregard for constitutional fidelity”?
