Ratzinger at Nottingham

Not he himself, but his book on the Historical Jesus, will be the subject of a Conference to be held at the University of Nottingham the 19th and 20th of June this year. Particular details are available on the university website. It’s a great looking group presenting. I’m envious of those able to attend and wish I were as wealthy as Midas so I could jump in the jet and make way there.

  1. Should be good – I’ll be there. Ratzinger’s book is quite interesting – particularly the methodology he sets out at the beginning, in terms of attempting to do justice to faith and history. I think the choice of speakers at the conference should result in a fiery time – Vermes for one has written a very negative review of the Pope’s book… Fortunately I live 10 minutes walk from the university, so no need for Midas!
