Bruce Zuckerman has revolutionized the study of ancient writings through the application of the newest technologies to their interpretation and study. Professor Zuckerman has provided new and important readings for such texts as the Elephantine Papyri, Ketef Hinom amulet and the Dead Sea Scrolls. As a part of their graduate studies in Jewish History at the Revel Graduate School, Eytan Zadoff and Pinchas Roth have applied Prof. Zuckerman’s methods to the interpretation of a 5th-6th century Jewish Aramaic amulet that had never before been read, revealing a text of great significance for the history of Jewish magic.
