March 7, 2008The shooting of the Seminary Students in Jerusalem is another in a series of brutal and senseless acts of violence. What mindlessness inhabits the human soul all too often. Yes, Virginia, there is such a thing as Total Depravity. And not just in the United States.
I wonder if the killing of 100 Palestinians (many of them children) in the past week in Gaza qualifies as a brutal and senseless act of violence.
Yup. Without question. Every suicide bomber, malicious psychopath, cruel gunman, and all the rest who go around treating life so cheaply also exemplify depravity.
I would beg to differ between someone who knowingly goes somewhere to kill civilians in a civilian setting, as opposed to a military action in which soldiers, defending a country against attack, launc a counter attack againt the combatants who are shelling Israel civilians, and due to the fact that many of these combatants hide within civilian areas, unfortunately, civilians pay the price of the Palestinian combatants reckless, dangerous and totally depraved behaviour!
